Job summary Queens Park Surgery in Bedford has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive receptionist to join our team on a full-time basis for 37.5 hours per week. The receptionist plays a pivotal role in the experience of patients at our practice, helping them to access the right services and dealing with their queries face-to-face, online and by telephone. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated team player who has customer service/patient experience and offers excellent organisational skills. Main duties of the job Greet and direct all patients to the practice. Answer all calls, ensuring documented and redirected accordingly. Book in patients and visitors in line with practice appointments and visitors procedures. Book, amend and cancel patient appointments. Respond and/or redirect all patient and visitor requests accordingly. Ensure computerised appointment system is up-to-date. Set-up of new patients onto the computer system (SystmOne). Distribution of completed prescriptions About us We are a very long-established practice working on two sites in Bedford, looking after 12,500 patients. We are also care taking another local practice in Bedford with a list size of 9,000 patients.
