Due to internal promotion, our client have an opening for an experienced Stores Operative to join their Flushing and Testing team based in Dyce. This role will follow approved company procedures to maintain stock levels and ensure all incoming and outgoing stock is handled safely and logged accurately in the company systems. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Receive all incoming goods according to procedure; this will involve loading and unloading items ensuring storage areas are maintained in a neat, tidy and safe condition at all times. Ensure goods delivered are accurate in quantity ,match certification and delivery note Ensure stock levels are recorded and goods received notes are accurate Ensure stock is deducted from completed work orders accurately and on time Ensure all customer property is checked against delivery note and stored safely, securely and is fully accessible and identifiable as per company procedures. Despatch stock to workshops and other departments Liaise with customer and vendor representatives regarding incoming and outgoing goods Liaise with Purchasing or key account coordinator on any queries regarding quantity, condition or quality of goods delivered to site. Document and hold rejected goods in quarantine and notify key account coordinator or purchasing department until further instructions are received Responsible for ensuring tasks are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with applicable company procedures Work collaboratively with all other business functions to ensure the completion of work orders; The job holder may be required to carry out any other related or associated roles, tasks or duties, which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements. PERSON SPECIFICATION Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office and the Company operated software and systems. Knowledge of health and safety requirements Skills & Competencies: Strong attention to detail, working to high standards. Communication and interpersonal skills. Numeracy and literacy skills. Organisational skills, ability to work to a schedule and achieve deadlines. Qualifications and certification: Full UK driving licence. Forklift certificate (desirable) SVQ2 Warehousing, Storage and Distribution (desirable) Experience: Experience in a similar role, preferably in a workshop environment. Personal qualities: Good working attitude, reliable and punctual. Able to work well under own initiative and as part of a team, without supervision.
