Our client is looking for a Service Engineer to provide on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offer after-sales technical and commercial support.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintain and develop a good relationship with customers
* Flexible approach to customer's needs
* Abide by the company’s and clients Health & Safety policies
* Present a professional image to customers whether by telephone, in writing or in person.
* Reports to Service Manager on progress or delays.
* Completion and submission of risk assessments, work reports, activity reports and all other documentation.
* Completion of site tasks and activities
* Improve the client's system, (reliability or productivity) via recommendations and where appropriate provide quotations to the client for parts, consumables, plant upgrades and refurbishment work
* Liaise with the appropriate sales team on any potential leads.
* Provide regular updates to your line manager on any issues that may result in financial, reputational or operational impact on the Company.
* To carry out commissioning work on standard equipment.
Requirements:
* NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar or even working toward
* GCSE or equivalent – English and Maths.
* A full UK driving licence is required.
* Experience with the water industry would be an advantage but is not essential.
* Passionate about providing a first-class service to our customers.
* Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find a resolution.
* Strong communication skills both verbally and written, with the versatility to communicate at all levels in a clear and concise manner.
* Demonstrable experience of having built strong working relationships both internally and externally.
* A professional approach to your work and communication with colleagues and customers.
* A good level of IT competency.
* Good organisational skills with an eye for detail.
* Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
