Permanent Position
Monday - Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 1:30pm finish

Scope of Role:
Working closely with the Section Leader and Planner, the Cell Lead will take ownership of scheduling work through their area of responsibility and provide leadership for the people in that area. They will be responsible for monitoring manufacturing performance against agreed QCD metrics using best practices, organizing and providing necessary training within their area, and guiding their team on business performance and information.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
1. To co-ordinate work in progress through the shared service cells to meet the operations plan.
2. To co-ordinate test schedules.
3. Responsible for calibration of chambers and test rigs.
4. Responsible for testing to Acceptance Test Procedures and reporting any failings.
5. Owning ATP test database and report writing for individual test programmes.
6. Early adoption of new test equipment and processes, and training provider thereafter.
7. Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching for cell employees on a day-to-day basis.
8. Provide leadership to team members to realize the cell objectives and production targets.
9. Record, monitor, and advise on production performance as part of the SQCDP metrics.
10. Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are complied with.
11. Assist with the analysis of production data to help determine root causes to problems and be proactive in helping to solve them.
12. Ensure training is identified as a requirement of the roles within the cell and on the skill matrix.
13. Act as 5S Champion / CI lead for the cell.
14. To undertake daily stand-up meetings (DSUM's) with the cell, ensuring that SQCDP metrics are met.
15. Undertake regular personnel development reviews with reports.
16. Provide first-pass support of scrap analysis processes.
17. Justify overtime working in line with department budget and Production Manager.
18. Ensure time attendance system is kept up to date and accurate for the Cell with all the relevant paperwork in place.
19. To champion cell problem-solving exercises.
20. Liaise with Operations management as an integral part of the planning process.
21. To deputize for the Production Manager when called upon.
Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions
1. To maintain as best as possible a tidy working environment.
2. To own non-conforming product to the point of material review board decision.
3. Undertake all other reasonable requests made by the role manager or Directors.
4. At times of reduced department staff attendance, there will be a need to be flexible and provide support outside of the normal tasks of the job to ensure customer satisfaction.
5. On occasion, you may be required to take on ad hoc duties which include, but are not limited to, training, department associated tasks, and brief secondment to other departments.
