The Opportunity
An opportunity for an Electrical Engineer has arisen due to a client we are supporting setting up a new presence in the UK to support Control and Instrumentation (C&I) and Electrical Engineering activities across installation, commissioning, and maintenance projects.
The initial opportunity is to support the design and installation of electrical systems from the Bristol office.
The company has over 35 years’ experience of supporting nuclear projects across France and are looking to build on that expertise and heritage by building up a new team in the UK.
Remuneration & Benefits
Estimated to be in the region of £35,000 - £50,000 – dependent on your experience level.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:
* Draft methodologies for the installation of electrical equipment, both temporary and permanent.
* Supervise and coordinate Medium Voltage (MV), Low Voltage (LV), and High Voltage (HV) systems within a European Pressurised Reactor (EPR).
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions aimed at improving performance, safety, and reliability of installations.
* Contribute to the development and execution of upgrade and modification projects.
* Monitor and analyse operational data to identify trends and discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable nuclear regulatory requirements and industry standards
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
We are looking for a candidate with an engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field.
You should have at proven experience in the installation of electrical equipment, ideally on nuclear sites such as Nuclear Power Plants (NPP) or in other highly regulated industries (Chemical, Water, Oil & Gas, Rail for example).
You will be required to work closely with teams, contributing to the safety and reliability of the installations.
The setting for the role
There are opportunities to be based in the Bristol office or to be based on the Hinkley Point C site – dependent on project.
When on site - Risks and Hazards are in line with working on the construction of a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
