Manages all maintenanceoperations including maintaining the buildinggrounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safetysecurity and asset protection. Accountable for managing the budgetcapital expenditure projects preventative maintenance and energyconservation. Responsible for maintaining regulatoryrequirements.
Leads Maintenance operations byproviding both reactive and proactive multiskilled service on alloperational equipment and hotelsinfrastructure.
MAINRESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for theimplementation of best practice maintenance vision strategypolicies processes and procedures to aid and improve operationalperformance in particular sustainable maintenance andstrategy for reduction of energyconsumption.
* Contribute to new businessinitiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact onmaintenance activities
* Manage and implementimprovement plans driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) whilstensuring that Health Safety and Environmental requirements areadhered to.
* Be inclusive in Refurbishmentmeetings and assist Hotel Management in communication andimplementation as required
* Set and implementpreventative maintenance programmes thus ensuring quality of theFF&E and plant equipment.
* Controlinvoices and external providers costs
* Work withthe Ops Manager of the hotel to discuss maintenance budget andensure compliance at the hotel.
* Completemonthly energy reports and record.
* Attendmeetings where Maintenance support and expertise is requiredcollaborating with HODs. Delegate asnecessary.
* Respond to emergency calls in theevent of urgent and/or unexpected issues orincidents.
* Increase the site operationaleffectiveness improve on project delivery reduce equipment failureroomdowntime.
COMPLIANCE
* Ensurecompliance with health safety and environmental policies andprocedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff andguests.
* Inspect works to ensure compliance withrequired standards and performance targets and take correctiveaction under direction of line management asappropriate.
* Conduct risk assessments ofprocesses and tasks in the hotels under theirresponsibilities.
PROJECTMANAGEMENT
* Planning managing andcoordinating projects and maintenance works includingbudgets.
* Produce information analysis andreports to ensure line management are informed of project/workprogress problems and agreedresolutions.
* Delivery of small scale projects(P&L) including equipment lifecycle works ensuringperformance quality levels are met throughout risks to delivery aretreated in a timelymanner.
* Identification ofpotential lifecycle deficiencies produce capital expendituredocuments to match lifecycleexpectancies.
RECRUITMENT &PERSONNEL
* Recruit supervise and trainmaintenance team members.
* Responsible for teamrota and accurate payroll submission to HR at end of themonth.
* Manage coach and develop a highperforming and autonomous maintenanceteam.
* Provide technical expertise and supportto the teams.
* Setdepartment objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoingperformance of direct reports.
* Report onachievement of targets and identify any actionsrequired.
* Ensure the delivery of the PeopleStrategy within area ofaccountability.
* Complete departmentalperformance reviews on ACCORplatform.
REQUIREMENTS:
* FormalQualification in Mechanical HVAC or Electrical or operationalexperience.
* Good written and verbalcommunication skills (English).
* Advancedknowledge of Microsoft tools &outlook.
* 3 years managementexperience.

* Ability to read & write riskassessments.

* Proven experience ofproject management.
