We have a fantastic opportunity for Packing Technician Roles in our Packing Business Unit on a fixed term contract (initially until the end of August 2025) to join us in our Liverpool plant.
What would I be doing day to day?
1. Operation of production equipment, in compliance with health and safety, GMP and best-practice guidelines and procedures.
2. Operation of production equipment in adherence to Company safety policy, rules and procedures, working within WISE (Working in a Safe Environment) framework, ensuring Safe Behaviour at all times.
3. Identify and report health or safety hazards & dangerous situations and put appropriate control measures in place, raising safety contacts where unsafe acts or practices are identified.
4. Carry out risk assessment as appropriate.
5. Coordinate audits for good housekeeping/5S and complete follow-up actions / proactive approach to ‘Clean as you go’.
6. Ensure full adherence to quality procedures such as Critical Control Points, processes and standards in line with Quality Management System (QMS) & Danone Quality Food Standards.
7. Perform and record in-process checks to verify that all products produced meet product standards, maintain a clean workstation by employing a clean and you go mentality and maintain the highest standard of right first time.
8. Responsible for maximizing production quality and output in their area.
9. Perform product visual quality checks.
10. Fully accountable for completion of documentation standards (inputs / scanning into MES system).
11. Ensure the manufacture of product to specification at right time & cost ensuring Right First-Time approach.
12. Responsible for ensuring the maximized output is achieved in area.
13. Responsible for driving direct and indirect KPI’s.
14. Anticipate problems in order to avoid impact to customer service.

Minimum Requirements
Essential:
• Industrial experience, particularly within a FMCG, food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
• Proven experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment whilst also maintaining high quality product/quality standards
• High level of mechanical and technical knowledge with the capability to operate and maintain manufacturing and packing equipment
• Proven highly technical, logical approach to work in a manufacturing setting
• Experience of working in FDA and ISO regulated environments
• Good knowledge of GMP, HACCP and 5S
• Experience in continuous improvement projects.
• Familiar with working in highly regulated, change controlled environments
• Experience in working in a high care environment and gowning procedures.
Preferred:
• Experience of working in dry powder environments
• Ideally familiar with CIP processes
• Technical qualifications preferable but not essential
• Experience in using hoists
• Experience in MES systems
Working Hours
We operate on a rotating 24/7 shift pattern. Typically the shift pattern is as follows: Full 24/7 shift pattern working 12 hours across days or nights (5 on, 5 off, 4 on, 5 off, 5 on, 4 off).
Compensation
You’ll have a structured on-boarding and learning programme when you commence. Competitive salary - The role is to start at £28,202 & 33% shift allowance.
