The company operates in a dynamic and competitive market, requiring strong financial leadership to drive profitability, cash flow management, and operational efficiency. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business. This role requires a commercially astute finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, a hands-on approach, ideally with experience in a private equity-backed business. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, ensuring robust financial controls, and providing insightful reporting to key stakeholders. The Role Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Develop and implement strong financial controls, processes, and policies to support growth and efficiency. Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts and financial statements in accordance with accounting standards. Partner with operational teams to drive cost efficiency, working capital optimisation, and profitability improvements. Manage and enhance financial reporting to meet the requirements of private equity investors, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making. Lead the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the senior leadership team to support business decisions. Oversee tax compliance, treasury, and risk management functions. Drive system and process improvements, leveraging technology to enhance reporting and efficiency. Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and professional growth. The Person Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 5 post-qualification experience. Experience in a financial leadership role Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting requirements. Commercial acumen with the ability to provide strategic financial insights to drive business performance. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and investors. Hands-on approach with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
