Job Title: AD Technical Sales Engineer

Reports to: Head of Sales/CCO
Job Purpose
The AD Technical Sales Engineer ensures the seamless integration of system components into anaerobic digestion (AD) sites. Acting as the technical link between sales, engineering, and project delivery, they assess feasibility, oversee product integration, and support project execution. Responsibilities include conducting site appraisals, creating technical documentation, and optimizing project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assess potential AD sites for feasibility, integration, and operational risks.
2. Document and communicate technical considerations to support smooth project execution.
3. Provide technical input on cost estimates and quotations.
4. Liaise with AD site operators to oversee product installation and commissioning.
5. Develop and deliver industry-specific training programs.
6. Act as a system expert during site visits, ensuring compliance with governance processes.
7. Identify and implement improvements to enhance gas capture and quality.
8. Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
9. Collaborate with product development teams to drive innovation.
10. Lead technical feasibility reviews and oversee on-site execution.
Collaboration & Communication:
1. Work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and product teams.
2. Provide updates to project managers and stakeholders, highlighting key issues.
3. Maintain clear roles between technical and commercial responsibilities.
4. Submit detailed reports after site visits.
Health & Safety:
1. Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe project execution.
2. Promote knowledge sharing on AD plant operations and safety protocols.

Experience:

Education:
1. Essential: Engineering degree or diploma.
2. Desirable: WAMITAB, SMSTS.
Skills & Traits:
1. Essential: Strong adherence to safety, compliance, and professional conduct.
Additional:
1. Essential: Full UK driver's license, willingness to travel.
Additional Information
1. Location: Initially remote (WFH), moving to hybrid/office-based role within 6-9 months.
2. Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (car/allowance TBD)
