Job Description Nursery Third in Charge & SENCO Full-Time Hours | All Year Round Salary: £28,000 We are looking for a passionate and experienced Nursery Third in Charge to join our client’s team. This role is perfect for a dedicated early years professional ready to take on a leadership position while also serving as the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). You will play a vital role in supporting the nursery’s inclusion practices, ensuring all children, including those with additional needs, receive the best possible care and education. If you are a strong leader with a passion for supporting children with additional needs, we would love to hear from you What We’re Looking For Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent). Experience working in an early years setting, with some leadership or supervisory experience. A strong understanding of child development. SENCO experience or a strong understanding of SEND support in early years. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and external professionals. Act as SENCO, ensuring children with additional needs receive tailored support and early intervention. Work closely with families, staff, and external agencies to develop and implement SEND support plans. Create an inclusive, engaging, and stimulating environment where all children can thrive. Provide leadership and guidance to nursery practitioners, ensuring best practices are followed. Observe, assess, and track children’s progress, using insights to tailor individual learning experiences. Ensure all policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines are followed at all times.
