We are now recruiting for a Construction Site Manager to oversee and manage construction sites for the company in accordance with our objectives and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Site Management: Oversee sites to meet financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets, including planning, programming, and resource allocation.
2. Staff and Team Management: Manage and support site staff, operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and leave approvals.
3. Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Engage with clients, consultants, engineers, and supply chain partners for smooth project execution and reporting.
4. Compliance and SHEQ: Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures, including risk assessments, method statements, and quality plans.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate site records, prepare reports, and contribute to financial and contract appraisals.
6. Procurement and Budgeting: Approve and manage purchases, monitor site costs, and support financial processes like payment applications and final accounts.
7. Technical Support: Provide guidance to site teams, feedback to estimators, and contribute to bids, presentations, and PQQs.
8. Innovation and Sustainability: Promote innovation, sustainability, and social value while upholding professionalism and integrity in all activities.
9. Health and Safety: Champion a safe and caring workplace aligned with company policies and values.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a similar Construction Site Manager role.
2. SMSTS.
3. CSCS Gold / Black Card.
4. NVQ Level 4, or equivalent in Civil Engineering / Construction related discipline (achieved or working towards).
5. Full UK Driver’s License.
6. Some knowledge of current contract forms, acts & legislation (NEC / JCT).
7. A working knowledge of CDM Regulations & Employment legislation.
8. Financial acumen and experience with planning and programming.
9. Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
10. Ability to mentor and manage other members of the operations team.
