Our client an independent fine dining restaurant based in Aldgate; City of London is now looking for aHead Chef.
A new restaurant opening is planned for the next few months and the ideal Head Chef will have opportunities for progression and development
We offer a salary package of £55,000 per year including service charge, immediate start and ideally looking for a Head Chef that has worked with independent restaurants.
The ideal Head Chef is someone who;
- has great communication skills.
- depends on disciplinerather than motivation.
- thinks independently.
- is interested in sustainability.
-has a strong foundation and worked in different types of cuisines for established restaurants
- must have at least 3 years of previous head chef experienceand know the London scene/suppliers
- must have worked at least 2 years in one restaurant.
- has experience in stock control, GP, food cost control,procurement etc, labour cost control and health and safety.
- can design menus or have strong research skills.
Sunday can be one of the days off for the Head Chef, 48 hours per week over 5 days, and keen to employ a Head Chef interested in fresh, quality food. With interest towards Mediterranean, Middle Eastern flavours but also forward thinking and open minded too.
The kitchen team includes 7 full-time chefs including the Head chef+3 kp and agency cleaners
Thekitchen is serving food 7 days from 8am to 10 pm.
The Head Chef will receive:
Salary package of £55K per year including service charge.
48 hours per week over 5 days. (1 of the off days can be Sunday)
Dining out at established restaurants for research purposes. This is part of the weekly hours of work.
