Our client, a leading company in the water sector, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join their team in Kent. This permanent role requires a background in the water industry, particularly with a solid understanding of pumps, piping, valves, and control systems in chemical dosing.
Key Responsibilities:
Travelling to client sites, including clean water and waste water sites, to perform servicing, reactive maintenance, repairs, and replacements on pumps, plants, and chemical dosing equipment
Conducting site surveys to assist with commercial proposal generation
Promoting the products and services of the company
Providing a reactive response to customer requests, demonstrating a flexible and pragmatic approach
Building sustainable and robust customer relationships
Adhering to company and client safety requirements at all times, with best practices for lone working on remote sites
Maintaining comprehensive records to document work carried out and facilitating correct billing of services and parts to the client
Configuring, calibrating, repairing, and adjusting a range of company and third-party equipment on customer sites to achieve optimum performance
Training clients and staff on the use of company and third-party equipment
Collaborating with the wider team to share product and customer information
Job Requirements:
Experience in both mechanical and electrical equipment
Desirable qualifications: Electrical qualification, either 18th Edition, JIB card, or CSCS card
Willingness to attend training to achieve relevant certification for client site attendance
Strong communication skills to build sustainable customer relationships
Ability to work unsupervised and a strong desire to finish tasks
Flexibility in start and finish times to resolve client problems in one visit whenever possible
Clean driving licence
