Intermediate Architectural Technologist
£30,000 - £32,000
Cheshire (but 100% WFH)
This is a great opportunity to join a growing architectural practice with an exceptional customer feedback rating, based in the Cheshire/North Wales region, but also covering some occasional projects outside of this area.
The role will be fully working from home, with occasional travel to client sites throughout the region.
The role:-
Do you remember what first inspired you to go into Architecture? I’m guessing it probably wasn’t logistics, build to rent commercial or another School extension. For most people, their very first love is Resi.
The Residential sector can provide a career that is head and shoulders above Commercial architecture and you’d be doing something you love and changing people’s lives. You don’t have to sacrifice money, or promotions and there is no better satisfaction.
Whether it’s an extension or a Grand Design you would be the lead consultant. You could appoint the contractor and you even have more control over all of the engineering aspects. It’s Architecture as it was; as it should be.
When you work with investors you’re working with them one on one. There aren’t any middle managers in between you and the client. You get more access to very interesting and very successful people. You’ll learn how to finance a build in the real world.
You could even take a step towards your own builds here, with us or as your own thing. It’s the perfect environment to learn the intricacies of not just architecture, but property and real estate.
All of this while working from home 100% of the time. The practice owner just a phone or teams call away and a few miles down the road when you need help or support.
You’d also be able to get chartered here, not just because the project types make that easier, but also because you’d have someone already chartered and involved in higher education working with you every day, holding your hand.
What you’ll be doing
Working on all stages including design.
Using Revit to draw and model (No previous experience necessary if you use AutoCAD now).
We’ll get you out doing surveys and visiting sites to manage progress.
You’ll get the opportunity to meet all different types of clients and take briefs.
In time you’ll lead and coordinate all disciplines and DtMs.
What you’ll need
Architectural Technology qualification.
Previous Intermediate level Architectural Technologist experience (2 - 4 years).
Experience with AutoCAD or Revit.
An active UK Driving License so you can get about.
