Job Description Purpose To support the Group Head of Airport Regulation in driving value and cost efficiencies for the operating companies of IAG by leading regulatory engagement on airport charges and delivering optimal outcomes through strategic influence of regulatory frameworks and charging decisions, across multiple jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Analysis Conduct detailed analysis of airport charges proposals and investment plans, and estimate their financial implications for the Group Develop a deep understanding of regulated airport charges frameworks across key jurisdictions to inform group positions Provide strategic insights to senior management on charging decisions and recommend response strategies Identify emerging regulatory issues and develop policies to address risks and opportunities Representation, Stakeholder Management & Advocacy Produce comprehensive written submissions with robust arguments against excessive charge increases Advocate effectively IAGs position at key consultation meetings Coordinate positions between operating companies to ensure consistent messaging to regulators, authorities, and governments Provide support for high level meetings with regulators and government on policy issues which affect regulated airport charges Coordinate cross-functional input from procurement, operational, planning, strategy, and commercial teams Build and maintain strong relationships with industry bodies and align positions to support group objectives Support legal departments on regulatory challenges when required Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of economic regulation and regulatory frameworks Outstanding analytical capabilities with ability to evaluate complex proposals and financial models Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in articulating complex topics Strong influencing and negotiation skills Ability to influence, align diverse views, find common ground and achieve consensus among a wide range of stakeholders Ability to operate efficiently in an environment with tight deadlines and finite resources Strong attention to detail Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in regulatory affairs or similar role Proven experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships Track record of influencing regulatory outcomes Experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives Understanding of airport operations and airline economics desirable not mandatory This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape regulatory outcomes across major airports while working for a leading global airline group.
