We are looking for a Trade Qualified Painter with commercial experience to make a difference running our operations team in Rocky.
Higgins Coatings is a proud family-owned business with a national presence, operating for 75 years and leading the commercial painting industry. We are looking for a trade qualified painter who is used to running several commercial projects concurrently across the region.
Reporting to our Rocky Branch Manager, you will be ‘off the tools', with 80% of your time spent travelling to various sites and 20% in the office. Key responsibilities include:
* Lead the completion of works for multiple concurrent projects safely, on time, to contract specification, and to budget.
* Day-to-day planning of resources and labour - both employees and subcontractors.
* Job monitoring and cost control.
* Assess job costings and methodology before submission of quotes/tenders.
* Ensure conformity to our WHS standards and systems.

What are we looking for from you?
* Trade qualified painter with commercial experience.
* Experience managing small teams of wages staff and subcontractors on concurrent projects.
* Ability to assess budgeted hours and costs of projects.
* Ability to complete documentation electronically.
* Supervising safety compliance.
* Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers and monitoring on-site performance.
* Ensuring client satisfaction through high levels of written and verbal communication.
* Coaching/training painters.
