Shropshire EWOs work closely with school staff, education support staff, psychologists, social workers, police and health personnel, and many other agencies in both the statutory and voluntary fields. The work is demanding, at times stressful, but most of all very rewarding. The role includes to review, advise and evaluate attendance procedures in schools. To work with individual pupils and families and groups of pupils and families to address poor attendance. You must have excellent people skills and be able to use management recording systems such as SIMS, Abor, Microsoft Office We are seeking an individual with school-based experiences and or with a good understanding of the impact upon families and young people as we recover from the pandemic. Experience in early intervention and support would also be beneficial. Please note appointment to service can result in county wide support if required (Potentially working area may include – Central, South and North Shropshire location)
