An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on a dynamic fast pace specialised surgical unit.
The Elective Surgery Unit is a 44 bedded unit incorporating all surgical specialities including; vascular, breast, gynaecological, urology, ophthalmology, maxio-facial, plastics, general surgery and ENT. The unit predominately provides care for a high volume of day case surgical patients making the unit fast paced and very varied. The unit also has a facility to accommodate patients requiring a 23 hour stay in hospital and supports other surgical wards. Unique to the unit is our nurse led discharge pathway; which allows nursing staff to use their judgement alongside surgically instructions to safely discharge patients.
The successful applicant will work as part of an experienced team delivering a high standard of care. Expected to be able to work as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, behighly motivated and enthusiastic and keen to develop knowledge and skills around specialised surgery.

Education & Qualifications
* oRegistered Nurse on NMC Register
* oRecognised qualification in teaching or education
Knowledge
* oExperience as a student or registered nurse in an acute hospital setting
