Location: Small Primary School, Chesterfield
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
Start Date: January 2024 or earlier, if possible
Are you passionate about nurturing young learners and supporting their early educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant to join our small, friendly primary school in Chesterfield. This is a full-time role, supporting children in both Nursery and Reception classes.
About the Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide high-quality support to children in Nursery and Reception classes.
* Assist in creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment tailored to the needs of young learners.
* Work closely with the teaching team to deliver engaging activities that promote development across all areas of the EYFS framework.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their confidence, independence, and social skills.
* Contribute to the planning and preparation of resources, as well as the observation and assessment of children's progress.
About You
To be successful in this role, you should:
* Hold a relevant TA qualification to at least Level 2 (required for EYFS ratios).
* Have proven experience supporting children in an EYFS setting.
* Demonstrate a deep understanding of how to create a nurturing and effective learning environment for young learners.
* Possess a calm, kind, and patient manner.
* Be enthusiastic about working as part of a collaborative team.
