Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner and working across the London, Southern and West regions, you will provide HR support to Managing Directors and Divisional Directors in achieving their people goals.
You will be expected to:
* Manage the implementation of group HR plans within the Region. Development and delivery of regional people plans e.g. Diversity & Inclusion Action Plan, Employee Engagement Plan etc.
* Support and drive central and local recruitment initiatives to provide pipeline of talent for the region to reduce time to hire and costs.
* Raise the calibre and capability of regional/divisional teams, supporting their continuous development by working in close collaboration with the Talent Team ensuring development needs are addressed either through central programmes or through divisional specific development activities.
* Manage the people and succession planning and performance management processes ensuring performance, development and succession needs/action are planned and implemented to meet people requirements.
* Monitor and review the HR KPIs within the region analysing data each period and driving discussions with the Regional Managing Directors and MD’s to ensure that action plans are developed and implemented as required.
* Provide a professional HR support service to the Region, providing coaching and advice on the complex people issues that arise and ensuring best practice standards and company policies and procedures are followed.
* Contribute to the continuous development of HR within Barratt by undertaking cross-functional HR projects as agreed with the Group HR Director.
* Ensure that you minimise the risk or exposure relating to Gender Pay, Living Wage and employee relations matters.
* HRCs – Responsible for providing guidance to your Regional HRC. Ensure they have clarity about their role and responsibilities.
* Be fully conversant with and an ambassador for HR policies and procedures and the Group HR offering.
* Specific training delivery within your Region such as Recruitment; Performance Management etc.
* Supporting your RMD and MDs you must also exert influence on their activities ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for:
* A minimum of five years’ experience in HR in a multisite operational role.
* Good relationship management at middle/senior management level, with influencing abilities.
* Good communication skills – written and presentation.
* Ideally CIPD qualified.
* Resilient and able to handle conflict situations.
* Conversant with Excel and HR systems.
