We seek a versatile and experienced Senior Facility Construction Co-ordinator to oversee all construction activities at the Preston facility, ensuring compliance with site requirements and CDM regulations.

Main Responsibilities
The primary accountability is to ensure the safe delivery of all construction activities at the Preston Laboratory, meeting cost, time, and quality targets. This includes:
* Acting as Principal Contractor for Preston construction projects, collaborating with the Client and Principal Designer.
* Ensuring project compliance with CDM regulations and that Construction Phase Plans are established.
* Planning all construction work at Preston with adequate SQEP resources.
* Managing daily operations of the Preston Construction team.
* Overseeing contractors' work, ensuring all documentation is in place before work begins.
* Meeting construction and installation standards through surveillance and inspection.
* Promoting site safety and a positive health and safety culture.
* Ensuring all activities comply with UKNNL and UK legal requirements, including Nuclear Site License Conditions.
* Monitoring safety performance and implementing safety improvement projects.
* Collaborating with design teams to integrate construction considerations during design.
Essential Criteria
Equivalent experience may be considered if deemed appropriate by the UKNNL Construction Manager:
* HNC/ONC or equivalent in engineering, electrical, or construction disciplines, preferably from a trade background.
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
* Experience managing construction projects, including multi-discipline contractor oversight and knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, self-starting attitude, responsibility, organizational skills, multitasking, and ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to obtain SC security clearance, including background checks and 5 years UK residency.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience managing construction on a nuclear licensed site.
* Membership in relevant professional bodies.
