The Head of Product Marketing is a player/coach leadership role that encompasses demand generation and product marketing functions. You will be tasked with defining how Velocix will differentiate, position, and sell its solutions into specific target markets and geographies. This will require a deep understanding of the market, customer needs, Velocix products, and competitive solution offerings. Working directly with customers and in coordination with internal stakeholders, you will develop and implement a product marketing program that produces customer-centric content describing Velocix’s solutions and advantages. You will also provide overall management of demand generation activities, including trade shows, digital campaigns, and other inbound/outbound marketing activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, engineering, or a related field. Significant experience in related marketing roles, with demonstrated success and leadership in driving demand generation and revenue growth in software industries. Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business goals into effective marketing strategies and plans. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams. In-depth knowledge of B2B marketing principles, techniques, and best practices, including demand generation, lead generation, and sales enablement. Proven experience in planning and executing successful marketing campaigns, events, and programs. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Experience in managing budgets and allocating resources effectively. Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen sense of how to tell stories that resonate with each buyer persona. Comfortable working with complex technical products. Roles and Responsibilities: Strategy Leadership Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives and business goals. Identify key target markets, customer segments, and geographic regions to focus marketing efforts. Define, shape, and implement a business wide marketing program. Direct inbound, outbound, and account-based demand generation activities. Coordinate with staff to manage the HubSpot marketing automation system utilization. Define the company’s social media presence and brand positioning. Create and manage demand generation, event, and overall marketing budgets and forecasts. Identify and resolve challenges and conflicts within the demand generation process. Be the organization’s agent towards external parties such as media, stakeholders and potential clients and build strategic partnerships Campaign Planning and Execution Develop and manage the implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across all mediums (in person, virtual and social media) and programs to drive demand generation, lead generation, and pipeline acceleration in the field. Define campaign objectives, messaging, content, tactics, and success metrics. Develop programs to capture new leads (opt-in contacts). Define buyer personas and journeys. Sales Enablement. Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand their needs and provide them with the necessary tools, resources, and support to drive revenue growth. Develop sales enablement materials, such as presentations, collateral, case studies, social media posting and competitive analysis. Collaborate with other departments, such as product and customer service, to create cohesive demand generation efforts. Map content to buyer’s journeys. Coordinate the development of demos for each product for marketing events (virtually or in person) to increase the MQL funnel for sales conversions. Coordinate with other key internal and external stakeholders to develop new content, support the buyer’s journey, and qualify new leads. Develop and maintain relationships with partners, influencers, and other stakeholders. Provide training and support to business members on the scope of the marketing best practices and tools. Market Analysis and Insights Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities and inform marketing strategies. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs, campaigns, and initiatives. Assess potential sponsorship or partnership opportunities at events and conferences. Plan locations, materials, staff, and other resources for marketing events. Explain the value of a company's service or product to potential customers. Gather contact information from potential customers for sales follow-ups. Analyse the KPI results of marketing efforts to identify strengths and weaknesses and adjust methods accordingly. Prepare reports on marketing activities to present to senior leaders. Manage KPIs and marketing score card. Refine and adjust approaches and techniques based on data metrics. Monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date on new technologies and techniques. Event Management Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing events, including tradeshows, conferences, seminars, workshops, and customer appreciation activities. Ensure events are aligned with the overall marketing strategy and deliver a positive brand experience. Measure and report on the success of such campaigns, using metrics such as leads, conversions, and revenue. Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the company.
