Head of Quality & Compliance - Home based with National travel - Competitive Salary + Car Allowance
As the Head of Quality & Governance, you will report to the Director of Compliance and will lead a team to help our homes meet regulatory standards and achieve Good and Outstanding ratings.
You will ensure regulatory standards are met and support homes through transitions, improvement plans, or day-to-day operations. The position provides clinical expertise and collaborates with stakeholders to drive high-quality care across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work within the Senior Management Team to support a highly driven team of Home Managers, Deputies, and clinical teams; providing a climate that allows the development of clinical skills in each home.
* Work in tandem with the Operations Team and the Director CGQ to deliver high-quality care standards across all the Homes.
* Provide clinical expertise to Caring Homes and drive forward continuous quality improvement to ensure our services meet the expectations and needs of regulators, commissioners, and residents.
* Direct and oversee the quality and compliance team in their day-to-day focused work.
* Review and report on Quality Performance Indicators (QPIs) to the Risk and Regulatory Committee.
* Support colleagues within our homes to develop the knowledge and expertise required to deliver clinical care in accordance with best practice advice & guidance.
* Provide with your team, Clinical Supervision as required to qualified home staff specifically – senior nurses/clinical leads.
* Maintain a risk-focused approach to support Home and Regional Managers to meet their improvement actions.
* Research and influence the development of evidence-based protocols/strategies for use within the homes. Participating and contributing to the Quality and Governance Group to provide updated reports on Quality Performance Indicators to the Director CGQ and the Operational Director.
* Work in partnership with the Learning and Development team to identify and enhance the experiences of residents living in our homes.
* Participate in the development of operational quality auditing processes, systems and tools that will produce quantitative and qualitative data to validate compliance and enable trend analysis.
* Drive continuous improvement and implement agreed innovations and technological advances through the Caring Homes Digital development agenda.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a quality and compliance role.
* Registered Nurse with a valid NMC Pin.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices in social care.
* A genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centered care.
