We are delighted to assist a medium sized client to find an experienced Transport & Fleet operations Manager. They are involved in a high care / highly compliant field across ADR industrial related operations. Their client base includes energy, engineering & all industrial sectors. The vehicles are bespoke & all staff are highly trained.
Ideal candidate:
A CPC qualified Transport Manager is a minimum. You must have had a deep inut into running & overseeing all aspects of fleet & environmental operations. Likewise as aspects of driver management & related performance. Clearly it is essebtial that you
Role summary:
This role is as much about overall fleet & site compliance as it is about driver performance.
To manage the maintenance and logistics of company fleet nationwide in a safe and compliant manner.
Ensuring all work carried out within the transport department is done in a safe, compliant and efficient manner
Ensuring all material transport is safe for transport and abides to transport legislation regarding drivers hours
Monitoring managed portals regulated by FTA for taco, working time directive, etc.
Maintaining the following regulations and accreditations: VOSA, ISO 9001 & 14001
Overseeing housekeeping of vehicles and any improvements that will improve day to day operations of vehicles to be implemented
Discussing with Senior Management regarding balance of fleet and looking at what sort of vehicle would be best purchased next to accommodate any short falls
Organising any livery/vehicle graphics for new vehicles
Maintaining drivers training records, including in-house training and external training (CPC, ADR, CCSNG, Confined Space)
Licencing / vehicle violation / speeding fine checks
Overseeing day to day operations for drivers and vehicles by being their main point of contact and allocating workload in accordance with the current operating licence legislation
Overseeing day to day operations in the workshop, including MOTs, servicing and vehicle repairs
People management responsibilities for drivers and workshop i.e. recruitment, performance reviews, sickness and absence management, etc.
Inputting data onto the traffic system, transport planner.
