NHS Shared Business Services are currently seeking a Commercial Advisor to join our rapidly growing procurement function. This role sits within our ICS Solutions team, which provides framework agreements, consultancy, and full procurement services to wider Public Sector clients. We use skilled teams and efficient technology to deliver solutions that meet customer needs, supporting clients in meeting national goals within critical timeframes. You will build and manage relationships with client organisations, identifying growth opportunities and helping bring in new business. Actively engage with clients to develop and coordinate sales pipelines, support important customers, and collaborate on strategies for applying procurement services. As the main point of contact, you'll also handle communications and make sure internal teams work together to deliver quality and timely results. This flexible hybrid role allows remote work with quarterly in-person team meetings in Leeds or Salford, plus client site visits as needed to strengthen relationships. Building and managing sales pipelines, supports key customers, and collaborates with clients on procurement strategies. Serving as the main point of contact, ensuring effective communication and coordination across internal teams to deliver quality, timely results. Providing expertise and knowledge of NHS SBS Procurement services and activities. Identifying and initiating commercial opportunities aligned with strategies and growth potential. Developing strategic partnerships, collaborative procurement initiatives, and custom project opportunities. What you will bring: Experience within wider UK Public Sector within either a Commercial or Procurement environment. Extensive UK public sector network and experience, with a strong background in supply chain, operations, and procurement. Confirmed ability to influence, handle supply chain opportunities, and close deals in sophisticated environments. Validated financial accountability, with expertise in budgeting, planning, and balancing multiple issues simultaneously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage collaborators at all levels and influence both internally and externally. Strategic thinker with the ability to implement plans, drive sales opportunities, and thrive in ambiguous situations. It would be great if you had: Strong project management experience with knowledge of methodologies like PRINCE2, Agile, and Scrum. Proven track record in driving innovation, leading organisational change, and business development/CRM. Skilled in resolving conflict, delivering business growth, and conducting audits/business assessments. Experience in regulated environments, clinically literate, and able to make recommendations to customers.
