An opportunity has arisen for a 12-month secondment or fixed term contract for an experienced individual who would like to develop their financial management and leadership skills in a large acute Trust. As Deputy Head of Reporting within the dedicated and dynamic management Accounts team, your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the Trust produces accurate and timely financial reports. A key focus of the role will be to ensure that the department continually assesses opportunities to automate and improve its month end processes. You will have significant experience of management accounting and financial reporting and should be able to demonstrate a track record of successfully implementing improvements to core financial processes. You will be an ambitious, motivated and an experienced Finance professional who is keen to support the finance department and our key operational and clinical stakeholders. The Finance department is close to achieving "One NHS Towards Excellence Accreditation level 2" and offers excellent opportunities for training and professional studying. To develop, improve, automate and standardise month end processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting section. To liaise with the Divisional Finance Teams to ensure that all budget holders are met regularly and have appropriate training, and that any queries are promptly and appropriately resolved or escalated as appropriate. To be responsible for the day-to-day line management, and development, of the management accounts apprentices. Provide highly complex financial advice and information to one or more areas through the investigation, analysis, manipulation and presentation of data from integrated finance and information systems.
