The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Administrator to join our team based in Birmingham, this is a full time permanent position. In this role you will support the commercial team with general administration tasks ensuring they are completed promptly and accurately. The Customer
You will be part of one of Fortem's largest Social Housing contracts, Birmingham City Council.
This is an expanding £50m Repairs & Maintenance, Capital Works and Retrofit contract and the largest social housing contract in Europe. We are responsible for over 22,500 properties in the Birmingham area including low, medium and a significant number of high-rise blocks. This is a fast paced, focused and dedicated contract which we have been re-awarded 3 times and we are very proud to be able to support this exceptional client.
Duties and Responsibilities
Commercial Administrator responsibilities will include:
1. Input accurate and timely information, including supplier and subcontractor details
2. Allocate costs for purchase orders and invoices, ensuring accuracy
3. Assist with sending out inquiries and raising purchase or subcontractor orders
4. Maintain accurate financial records and manage invoice schedules
5. Produce clear and accurate documents and correspondence
6. Support the team to meet deadlines and achieve business targets
What You Will Need
Commercial Administrator criteria:
1. Prior experience in a similar administrative role
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
3. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
