About the Role
We are thrilled to offer a unique and exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to join our team as a Drama and Theatre Supervising Technician. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our theatre and performance venues, where you will manage scheduling for internal and external users, play an active role in the Drama & Dance Department, and supervise short-term contract workers (when applicable). You will also play an active role in the wider school by supporting with events that require technician support and creative input.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality theatrical and AV technical services.
* Oversee the operation, maintenance, and security of the theatre’s physical plant, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
* Take on the dynamic role of Production Manager for school productions, including running production meetings, setting schedules and deadlines, and organising the purchase and hire of specialist lighting, sound, and audio-visual equipment, set builds, and costume procurement.
* Manage the budget for the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of all technical equipment, ensuring all programmes meet artistic and budgetary aims.
