Salary: NJC Grade 8 £31,586 to £34,314 per annum, pro rata £15,793 to £17,157 per annum.

Working Pattern: 18.5 hours per week, part-time, Monday to Friday
Location: Horsham
Please note: You must be able to travel throughout the county of West Sussex to locations that are not always available by public transport.

Are you a tutor with a subject specialism in Maths? Do you have a passion for supporting learners in education? Do you enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues and the community?
We have exciting opportunities to join West Sussex County Council’s (WSCC’s) Adult Learning Team as an Adult Learning Tutor to deliver maths to 16-19 year olds. We are recruiting enthusiastic and motivated tutors to work on a range of courses including:
* Functional Skills English
* Functional Skills Maths
* Introduction to Customer Service
* Employability
As a Tutor for 16- to 19-year-olds, you will develop and deliver our curriculum in partnership with colleagues, the community, learners, and other professionals. Our aim is to support inclusion and enable residents to access and participate in high-quality learning and training to achieve their potential.
You will be required to deliver Functional Skills maths from entry level 1 to level 2 as well as non-accredited maths courses.
About You
If you hold or are working towards a teaching qualification in Maths and have experience of teaching adult learners who are 16 to 19 years of age, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for tutors who can communicate clearly, have attention to detail, and who can plan and draw together a range of activities for their learners.
This is an enhanced DBS role where you will understand safeguarding and working with vulnerable children and/or adults, creating inclusive and safe learning environments. You will need an understanding of the requirements of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), Ofsted and the needs of the communities in West Sussex.
