We are looking for UK experienced Registered Mental Health Nurses for our base in Warrington on a flexible 24/7 permanent contract. This role provides high-quality care to all patients within Prometheus' business streams, including secure patient transport and therapeutic observational services. The ideal candidate would be responsible for the safety and well-being of patients whilst in the care of Prometheus and maintain the patient's dignity throughout the service. In addition, they must act within their sphere of responsibility, managing themselves and other team members and will have a working knowledge of the Mental Health Act and local and national policies.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will demonstrate that they possess high levels of therapeutic care and deliver this across all business areas whilst leading a team of healthcare Professionals in a potentially challenging environment.
Responsibility for Resources:
1. Adhere to company guidelines for checking vehicles and equipment before the journey commences.
2. Report any issues or stock replacement to the Fleet Manager/Supervisor.
Security:
3. To take all possible precautions to safeguard the welfare and safety of staff, patients, and the public by implementing all policies and procedures relating to security.
Organisational:
4. To contribute and work towards the company's aims and objectives.
5. The candidate as an individual is required to understand their responsibility for respecting and promoting issues of equality, diversity, and rights following legislation and good practice.

Job responsibilities
9. Provide care to individuals with a variety of mental health conditions, building therapeutic relationships.
10. Manage the specific symptoms of mental illness, de-escalation and helping patients overcome challenges.
11. Liaising with doctors, social workers and other professionals.
12. Interacting with patients' families and caregivers, offering advice and information on patients' conditions.
13. Prepare and maintain patient records, producing care plans and risk assessments.
14. To provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care.
15. If physical intervention with a patient is required, it is integral that you carry out this duty for your role.
16. Lead a staff team, including HCA's, throughout the patient conveyance or therapeutic observational service.
17. Ensure you have adequate handover of the patient's details, including the risk history and current presentation, from the Clinical Logistics Manager or health care professional responsible for the patient at the collection address.
18. To provide crisis intervention to patients experiencing mental health difficulties during conveyance or therapeutic observational service.
19. The ideal candidate is responsible for being aware of relevant national and local policies regarding safeguarding children and adults.
20. Attend all appropriate training, meetings, and reviews.
21. To maintain a professional attitude, approach, and response to the continuation of good working relationships between staff and patients throughout the transfer.
22. Report accidents, complaints, and untoward incidents promptly to the Clinical Logistics Manager.
23. Attend the Prometheus base at the required time as instructed by the Clinical Logistic Manager, and dress in line with the company uniform policy.
24. Responsible for any other tasks deemed reasonable by the management team for the smooth running of the company.
25. To assist the Operations Manager/Rota Manager in ensuring all staff follow agreed policies and procedures detailed by Prometheus.

32. Valid Enhanced DBS or on the update service.
33. Currently working in a compliance-focused role.
34. Full UK Driving Licence.
