Works under the direction of the Principal Estates Manager to:
1. Manage all aspects of the Post Room services and processes that support the core business of Reigate & Banstead’s operations.
2. Supervise and make efficient use of resources available to meet the day-to-day Post Room demands from both external and all Council Departments, responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:
* Sorting and distribution of the post across the Authority.
* Scanning incoming post and related documents for departments within the council.
* Sorting of overnight printing and undertaking any printing as and when required.
* Managing stationary stock levels, along with processing and distributing incoming stationary requests.
* Operation of various pieces of equipment including large format scanners, folding machine, photocopiers and general office equipment, willing to continue training in new technology and prepared to instruct others as required.
1. Ensure that services are delivered in the most effective way and generally be aware of all activities being undertaken by the Department, continually striving to enhance service through continuous improvement, sharing ideas with the team.
2. Continue to develop the Department identifying potential areas where working practices can be improved to achieve potential savings and identify areas where the service can be expanded.
3. Maintain accurate records and statistics against variable information as requested, i.e., Post Stats, Costs, External Printing etc.
Umbrella hourly rate – £18.25
