Job Summary:
The Operations Manager will oversee all operational activities, ensuring that both line marking and facilities management services are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards. This role involves coordinating schedules, managing teams, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting key projects. Additionally, the Operations Manager will play an integral part in improving operational processes, managing resources, and contributing to future planning as we continue to expand.
Key Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership & Staff Management: Lead and manage a diverse team, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols. Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance reviews, and staff training. Oversee smooth handovers of operational responsibilities across the business.
* Operational Oversight: Oversee the scheduling of both line marking and facilities management projects, ensuring a balanced workload distribution and timely completion. Monitor staff activities and operational standards, including safety and quality.
* Health & Safety Management: Ensure compliance with health and safety practices, regulations, and industry standards such as ISO and FIRAS.
* Client Relations & Business Development: Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing queries and ensuring satisfaction. Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, events, and networking with Property Management Services (PMS) teams. Oversee quotes and ensure proposals align with company standards.
* Project & Future Planning: Oversee major projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery while maintaining quality standards. Contribute to long-term operational strategies, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and assisting in the planning for future team growth.
* Financial & Administrative Oversight: Oversee operational activities such as stock management, purchase orders, invoicing, and financial reporting. Ensure accurate logging of invoicing and financial data in systems like Xero, working with the finance team to maintain financial accuracy.
* Debt Collection & Accounts Management: Oversee debt collection processes, ensuring overdue payments are addressed and accounts are up-to-date. Ensure financial health by working with the finance team to resolve discrepancies and streamline accounts receivable functions.
Qualifications:
* A degree in business, management, or a related field is preferred.
* Understanding of operational workflows, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
* In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, ISO standards, and FIRAS compliance.
* Experience in managing and leading teams, with a focus on staff training and development.
* Excellent financial management skills, including budgeting, invoicing, and proficiency in software such as Xero.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, staff, and senior management.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
