Role Description
As the Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of complex restoration projects. This includes overseeing all aspects of the project, from pre-construction planning through to final handover, while maintaining exceptional standards of quality and client satisfaction. You will be the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
In addition to your leadership duties, you will actively contribute to the company’s strategic goals by identifying opportunities for process improvement, fostering client relationships, and upholding Triton Restoration’s commitment to sustainability and excellence in restoration. Your role will also involve mentoring junior staff and contributing to their professional development, helping to build a strong, capable team for future projects.
Skills & Experience Requirements
* Highly motivated and dynamic
* Enthusiastic and commercially minded, with proven track record in managing contracts
* Qualified with a degree in Construction, Building Surveying, or relevant field
* Experience within the field of external refurbishment and restoration/conservation
* Responsible for projects from commencement to completion, including financial matters
* Able to work on their own initiative
* Exceptional attention to detail
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Mentor for more Junior Contracts Managers
* Managing projects to ensure stringent quality standards, Health and Safety standards, and fiscal control are met to produce successful and profitable projects
* To oversee and be solely responsible for a number of large quality restoration projects, primarily in the London area
* Vetting, appointing, and managing sub-contractors
* To price variations and prepare valuations and final accounts
* To prepare monthly interim project cost reports for the director and clients
* Resolving contractual disputes with both sub-contractors and clients
* Client liaison and to build on an existing robust client base
* To report fortnightly to the director on project progress, programme, quality, and finance
* Managing site teams to ensure compliance with both Health and Safety and environmental legislation.
