Role Overview:
As an RGN in our Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, you will be integral to the multidisciplinary team, providing expert nursing care to patients with brain injuries. You will play a key role in monitoring patient progress, administering treatments, and ensuring that rehabilitation goals are met in a safe, supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess, plan, and deliver individualized nursing care for patients with brain injuries, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological needs are met.
2. Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including therapists, doctors, and healthcare assistants, to develop and implement care plans.
3. Monitor and record patients vital signs, neurological status, and overall progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the clinical team.
4. Administer medications, wound care, and other treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
5. Provide education and support to patients and their families, helping them understand the rehabilitation process and setting realistic expectations for recovery.
