We’re seeking a qualified Plumber with multi-tradeexperience who can provide top-notch service to our customers whileenhancing our reputation in the communities we serve. This role isa 6-9 month FTC covering long-term sickness, as part of ourreactive team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining our 16,000homes across the South East.
About theRole
As part of Paradigm’s DirectLabour Organisation (DLO), you’ll work independently on a range ofplumbing tasks, from repairs and diagnostics to reactivemaintenance, ensuring a first-time fix approach wherever possible.You’ll bring a customer focused mindset to every interaction,consistently delivering high-quality service while adhering tosafety protocols and our customer carestandards.
In this role, you’ll have everythingyou need to succeed. We’ll provide a fully stocked van (fuel cardincluded), all necessary tools, and a tablet for managing yourschedule, so you can focus on what matters, delivering excellentservice.
KeyResponsibilities:
* Plumbing andMaintenance:
Complete day-to-dayplumbing and maintenance tasks to a high standard, aiming for afirst-time fix wherever possible and meeting target responsetimes.
* Documentation:
Maintain accurate records and promptly complete all necessarydocumentation per company procedures.
* Customer Care:
Provide courteous, professional service that aligns with Paradigm’scommitment to customer care, positively representing the company inall interactions.
* Health andSafety Compliance:
Follow health andsafety procedures, completing risk assessments and adhering to safeworking practices.
* ResourceManagement:
Ensure effective use ofmaterials, maintain adequate van stock, and handle company assetsresponsibly.
AboutYou
To thrive in this role, you’llneed strong plumbing expertise, particularly in domestic repairsand fault-finding, with a proactive approach to keeping customersinformed and satisfied. Your organisational skills and commitmentto high standards will support Paradigm’s goal of delivering a‘first-time fix’ service. As a front-line representative ofParadigm, a friendly and professional manner is as essential astechnical skill.
EssentialRequirements:
* RelevantCity & Guilds (Part 1 & 2), NVQ2, or equivalentexperience
* Apprentice trained or a minimum of5 years experience as a plumber
* Familiaritywith building codes, safety standards, and maintenanceregulations
* Full clean UK drivinglicence
* Excellent communication skills, bothverbal and written
* Ability to work flexibly,on your own initiative, and as part of ateam
Nice ToHaves:
* Experience ofworking for or with a Social Housing organisation or LocalAuthority.
Location:
ParadigmHousing Group manages properties across Buckinghamshire,Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire,Berkshire, and neighbouring areas. In this role, you’ll travel toour properties in a company van (fuel card provided) to performplumbing and maintenance tasks. Our head office is in WooburnGreen, near High Wycombe, with an additional office in Chesham.Interviews will be held at our head office or Chesham officedepending on availability.
