This is a varied, interesting and pivotal role where you will be supporting a number of production plants with their varied procurement needs
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sourcing Manager to join a dynamic procurement team within the industrial sector. This is a key strategic role, responsible for managing supplier relationships, controlling procurement risks, and optimising costs across multiple categories and regions. Key relationships and collaboration will be across the UK Plant Manager network as well as the global category management team and your colleagues within the UK procurement team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support multiple production plants with MRO requirements
* Maintain and build upon internal relationships with Plant Managers enabling effective support by the UK Procurement team
* Be an effective support for planned production shut downs, ensuring all suppliers and planned maintenance meets critical time requirements
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to manage a ~$50M category spend.
* Drive cost savings initiatives, ensuring year-on-year cost reductions and mitigating inflation impacts.
* Lead supplier relationship management to foster innovation and deliver the best value.
* Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to align supplier development with business needs.
* Mitigate supply risks by identifying high-risk suppliers and implementing proactive solutions.
* Negotiate, draft, and implement supplier agreements, and monitor performance against KPIs.
* Manage procurement for a variety of equipment and services, including a wide range of electro mechanical parts and maintenance services.
What We’re Looking For:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related discipline (preferred).
* At least 5 years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record in sourcing strategy development.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a solid understanding of purchasing terms and commercial acumen.
* Ability to manage relationships across all organizational levels and with international suppliers.
* Familiarity with SAP ERP systems is an advantage.
* A hands-on, proactive approach and excellent multitasking abilities.
