Role:Senior Supportability Engineer
Location:Plymouth
Duration:6 months
Rate: 600- 700/day

Main Purpose of Role
Lead a team of Supportability Engineers whilst applying engineering domain knowledge competently to provide technical solutions in the delivery of products and services while developing domain knowledge, experience and leadership skills.
As part of the role you could be involved in one of three parts of the programme:
* Influencing the design of the submarine - maximising ease of support in service;
* Developing an in-service Support Solution which demonstrably satisfies requirements for availability and cost;
* Ensuring the submarine can be maintained within safe operating limits.
The role will involve iterative development of support products for validation and verification during the build, test and commissioning phase and ultimately for use during the platform's service life.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences
The candidate will have the ability to take complex engineering problems and resolve them into easy to understandable outputs for use by a wide range of stakeholders. The candidate will be able to apply a broad range of engineering knowledge to determine solutions to problems and have the ability to identify areas for future improvement.
The candidate will be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, however with the confidence to seek guidance from others for more unusual or complex problems and situations.
Qualifications
Ideally with an HND/HNC or Degree level qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (or related field) you'll be an excellent communicator and able to articulate complex arguments for a wide range of stakeholders to understand. You'll need to be able demonstrate the motivation to drive issues to completion and to continue your professional development.
Lastly, project management experience or qualifications would be advantageous as the role requires the delivery of documentation to time and budget.
