MCS Group is currently working exclusive with a leading UK & Ireland drinks distributor to recruit a Customer Development Executive. Working with a major drinks brand, the successful candidate will manage key accounts, promote new business and merchandise products across bars, restaurants, nightclubs, and off-sales.
This will be a field-based role, with 4 days visiting customers, 1 day working from home, and the occasional visit to their Belfast HQ.
A salary of £25k, company car, 10% bonus, mobile phone, and laptop will be on offer for the successful candidate.
Core Responsibilities:
* Successfully activate marketing campaigns and site POS kits across customer base in line with brand objectives.
* Negotiate and optimise fridge space, menu feature, and 'best in class' brand visibility across account base.
* Meet and review business performance with customers on a regular basis, agreeing areas and actions for improvement.
* Agree and implement standard wholesale Gantt for full year and maintain a quarterly business performance review meeting to keep on track.
* Establish effective ways of working with customer telesales departments through focus weeks and sales events.
* Organise, manage, and attend trade shows/festivals and sales blitzes to increase brand awareness and achieve distribution across customer base.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal departments to ensure a cohesive approach to all activity, with particular emphasis on Field Sales team, Buying team, Marketing, and Accounts.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Good planning, organisational, and time management skills.
* Good commercial acumen and numerate.
* Able to demonstrate a track record of personal sales achievement and in-depth channel experience knowledge.
* 1 year FMCG experience in a previous role.
