About the role: We're looking for an Income Officer to join our friendly and high-performing Housing Team. As Income Officer, you'll play a core role in delivering exceptional housing management services fostering positive relationships with our customers. This role focuses on landlord tenant obligations relating to rent and charges. There is also a strong focus on customer support, increasing financial resilience and signposting to specialist services to contribute to the overall well-being of our customers while ensuring that income management is efficient, responsive, and tailored to meet evolving needs. This role encompasses proactive management of social housing tenancies and rent accounts. You will actively engage with customers, support delivery of the annual rent increase, manage collection of rent arrears and other charges. Promoting a culture of customer care, you'll deliver customer centric, high quality solutions that focus on tenancy sustainment, seeking to avoid legal action, but carrying it out where necessary. About You: It goes without saying that you ll have fantastic customer service skills. You ll also be able to work effectively with colleagues across the organisation. You ll have experience of working within the housing sector, or with people in housing need, in some or all of the following disciplines; Debt & welfare benefits advice Income Management Tenancy management Tenancy sustainment Housing need. You ll have a good knowledge of relevant legislation, and a proven track record of effectively managing a portfolio of cases. You ll also need to hold a driving licence, and be able to use your own car for work purposes. A relevant housing qualification would be useful, but is not essential. Basic-level Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance is required for this role.
