The Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will support vehicle production by maintaining and optimizing equipment and processes. This role ensures machinery remains fit for purpose, safe, and continuously improved through lean manufacturing (CI/Kaizen) initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Provide responsive maintenance support to ensure minimal downtime in production. Perform routine preventative maintenance (PPM) on plant equipment. Analyze and optimize PPM schedules for maximum effectiveness. Offer technical assistance in the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Collaborate with contractors to ensure project compliance with HSE regulations. Conduct diagnostic and fault-finding inspections on automated systems, including: Robot cells & dosing equipment Vision systems Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) EMS and conveyor systems Implement modifications and programming for robotic systems to enhance performance and efficiency. Provide hands-on support for continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes. What You Need to Succeed: HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field. Completed apprenticeship in maintenance (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems) to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Experience in PLC fault finding and programming. Proficiency with ABB robots and Siemens TIA PLC systems. Hands-on experience with SCA (Atlas Copco) glue dispensing systems. Expertise in conveyor systems, electrical & pneumatic installations. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities. Effective communicator, able to work independently and in a team environment. Previous experience in automotive or EV manufacturing is a plus.
