Area Sales Manager Thermo King (England)

Summary:
We are looking for an indirect Area Sales Manager for our Thermo King brand to support on Truck & Trailer business (Small truck and VP product range).
As an Area Sales Manager in our dealer network, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing our business strategy within our indirect sales organization. Your main focus will be on growing revenue through our network of channel partners, maximizing profits, and increasing market share and customer satisfaction. This role will be reporting to the regional director of truck and trailer business in England.
Major Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain strong relationships to achieve sales targets, margin goals, and increase market penetration.
2. Create and implement action plans to drive revenue growth, business planning and strategy, market coverage, channel partner development, and sales competency enhancement.
3. Communicate and ensure successful implementation of our indirect sales objectives, marketing initiatives, and sales plans.
4. Collaborate with our internal support team to co-develop marketing and sales plans tailored to the needs of our channel partners, addressing their specific market objectives.
5. Schedule, coordinate, and conduct training sessions focused on product knowledge, consultative selling techniques, digital adoption, and effective sales strategies that lead to the success of our channel partners.
6. Prioritize and address the needs and expectations of our channel partners, providing them with exceptional support and helping them enhance their customer experience.
7. Resolve conflicts efficiently and collaboratively to maintain strong partnerships and drive business growth.
8. Continuously assess market best practices and industry trends to enhance the overall performance and success of our indirect sales organization.
9. Regular travel within England is required to support and collaborate with our channel partners effectively.
Education / Experience:
1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent work-related experience. Preferably gained in similar industries (refrigerating transport, HVAC).
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position. Proven sales experience in managing indirect sales activities.
3. Proficiency in English.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including MS Office software, Siebel, Tableau, and Oracle.
5. Effective communication and people skills, excellent presentation abilities.
6. Customer-focused, cheerful outlook, purposeful, and action-oriented.
7. Availability to travel across England is required (approx. 60%).
