About the role:
We’re looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is ready to make a real difference in the lives of young learners across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. In this role, you’ll be a valuable member of the teaching team, taking on varied responsibilities, from leading small group activities to covering classes in the teacher’s absence. You’ll have the opportunity to support children’s learning in a structured yet creative environment, working closely with passionate teachers and fellow TAs. This role is ideal for someone looking to further their teaching assistant career while bringing their own ideas and energy to the classroom.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with primary-age children in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and a proactive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to various classroom situations.
• A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support Teaching and Learning: Lead small groups and provide targeted support to individual students to ensure they thrive academically and socially.
• Classroom Cover: Confidently cover classes as needed, maintaining a positive, structured learning environment.
• Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging activities that enhance learning across Key Stages 1 and 2.
• Assist with Assessment: Observe, assess, and report on student progress, contributing to personalised learning plans.
• Encourage Well-being: Support children’s emotional and social development, creating a safe, inclusive atmosphere.
