We are delighted to be seeking two person-centred Non-Executive Directors to join our dynamic and nurturing board. For one role we are seeking an individual with a clinical leadership background in any discipline; for this role, experience and insight into some of the services provided by our Trust will be advantageous. For the second role we are interested in hearing from individuals with established board level experience ideally with experience as a Non-Executive Director; an individual who can offer their fresh strategic perspective to our board whilst appreciating the governance and assurance demands of a board position. For this role we are open to leaders from either public, third or private sector backgrounds with experience that complements our strategy and values. In particular, we welcome expertise in areas including strategic partnerships, service innovation, corporate governance or digital leadership. For both roles a commitment to inclusion and shared values will be essential.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Recognised financial or accounting qualification
Experience
* Experience of working at Board or near Board level or equivalent in a comparable complex, changing organisation. Sector experience may include one or more of the following: the health or social care sector, public sector, such as Police or housing, education, such as University or business schools, the third/ voluntary sector, social enterprises or other organisational forms, commercial sector with a major brand.
* Building successful strategic relationships and partnerships with a complex group of stakeholders.
* Developing new services, innovations and/or contracts, leading organisational change and/or service transformation.
* Developing digital transformation strategies.
* Compliance to standards of corporate and clinical governance.
Knowledge
* Understanding of the components of a complex organisation and the processes of planning, financial control, performance management and governance, assurance and risk management.
* Knowledge and understanding of the strategic challenges facing the NHS.
* Understanding of determinants of good quality, safe and effective patient care and of the wider determinants of good mental and physical health.
* Familiarity with the changing political map of devolved English government including knowledge of local systems and key stakeholders.
* Clear understanding of the legal duties, liabilities and responsibilities of Non-Executive Directors in the NHS.
* Knowledge of influencing through social media.
* An overview of the Foundation Trust regulatory framework and Governor responsibilities.
