Key Account Manager – Kitchen & Bedroom Door Manufacturers Job Title: Key Account Manager – Kitchen & Bedroom Door Manufacturers Job reference Number: 690334-4108-24290 Industry Sector: Interior surfaces, furniture foils, thermoplastic foils, polymers, plastic films, laminated board, laminated profiles, furniture doors, 3D, 2D foils, PP, PET, PVC membranes, veneers, woodgrain, laminates, MDF doors, kitchen cabinets, bedroom furniture, KBB, living room furniture and door manufacturers Area to be covered: National – ideally based Midlands to M62 Remuneration: £50,000-£57,000 Up to 10% Bonus Benefits: Hybrid company car and comprehensive benefits package The role of the Key Account Manager – Kitchen & Bedroom Door Manufacturers will involve: Field sales position, selling our clients manufactured range of interior surfaces including veneers and plastic films to finish furniture (PVC membranes, woodgrain, adding foil to boards for furniture manufacture) Selling 200m-500m rolls to companies who manufacture membrane pressed doors for kitchen and bedroom furniture (for the use in the lamination of kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and living room door furniture) as well as fully integrated furniture manufacturers Responsible for circa £5m-£10m Role only available due to an internal promotion Majority of your time account managing 30-40 accounts (approx 50% of which will turnover £100,000) Remainder of your time assisting our client to break into new markets such as shop fitting, student accommodation, supermarkets etc Typical customers include large furniture manufacturers such as Hammonds, Summerbridge, BA components, Wren Kitchens, Sharps Bedrooms etc, you will also be responsible for some caravan leisure home customers such as Swift, Explorer group and Willerby 40% of your time dealing directly with furniture manufacturers, 60% suppliers to high street retailers, sheds and large multi-site outlets Managing pricing, trading plans and handling customer complaints The ideal applicant will be a Key Account Manager – Kitchen & Bedroom Door Manufacturers with: Minimum of 2-3 years B2B field sales experience targeting manufacturing Sold raw materials to manufacturers to create a finished product Proven track record of managing and growing large/ key account preferred Understanding of current manufacturing processes Experienced gained in a similar or related industry would be an advantage Ideally experience selling into furniture manufacturers, but open to caravan leisure home customers and all backgrounds from within manufacturing Ideally you will have sold interior design / aesthetically pleasing products such as shop fittings, kitchen, bedroom or living room furniture, timber windows, ceramic tiles etc Any experience or interest in design may be beneficial Contacts within bedroom, bathroom or kitchen (KBB) manufacturers is not essential but may be useful Ideally degree educated and able to develop a good “feel” for wood grain designs and colours appropriate to the furniture market Excellent time management and organisational skills Strong communication skills and IT literate Experience of working with shop-fitting, retail, healthcare/education sectors would be advantageous as these markets are of particular interest
