Office Attendance: Our roles are hybrid; however, you should be able to travel to our Reigate office 2 days per week for this position.

We’re recruiting a Pricing Manager – Protect (South) within the Strategic Pricing team. This team’s focus is on monitoring current and long-term performance of business written to ensure ongoing profitability and to proactively develop advanced claims and fraud analytics capability to drive market leading claims inflation using machine learning, advanced analytics and automation.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a pivotal role in the business as you’ll be responsible for:
* Monitoring the profitability of Motor and Home portfolios and to understand and communicate key trends and their drivers.
* Monitoring claims inflation trends using both internal and external data and ensuring that these are well understood by senior management.
* Researching and implementing improvements to the claims modelling process, including the use of new statistical analyses, machine learning, automation and development of unstructured data sources.
* Using advanced claims analytics to help drive lower claims inflation in partnership with the claims function, actuarial and underwriting teams.
* Enhancing fraud modelling capability using advanced analytical techniques to help flag potential fraud cases for investigation more effectively.
* Supporting our reinsurance partners through the provision of data, analysis and insights to enable us to purchase reinsurance at a cost-effective level.
* Supporting other pricing teams in delivering the key financial metrics within the financial forecast for profit and income through the delivery, management and oversight of the Home/Motor rating structure.
* Supporting the business with pricing-related analytical tasks and forecasting activities.
* Line management responsibility for one/two analyst(s).
We need you to have
* Strong theoretical and practical understanding of Personal Lines pricing.
* Prior experience of using insurance pricing software, e.g. Radar.
* Knowledge of programming languages e.g., SAS, R, and Python.
* Great attention to detail and an analytical mentality.

Following the announcement regarding Tesco's strategic partnership with Barclays, this role will support our Insurance and Money Services team and will remain with Tesco.
