We are seeking a qualified experienced nurse or newly registered band 5 nurse willing to undergo preceptorship, to work within an integrated healthcare model. The successful candidate will be an excellent team player who works closely with residents, the healthcare multidisciplinary team, and the immigration service to ensure comprehensive care is provided to residents.

Previous experience of working in an immigration removal centre is especially desirable, but not essential. You will benefit from an extensive supernumerary period, access to a full range of training, and be encouraged to develop your skills within this role.
Please note that the home office has applied restrictions to obtain clearance to work in a secured setting. Therefore applicants will only be considered if they have been resident in the UK for more than 5 years.

8. Utilise a wide range of communication skills, treating residents with respect and empathy at all times.
9. Actively participate in and support clinical audit and clinical governance systems at a local level, including the collection of data.
10. Undertake risk assessments and take appropriate professional action when the nature of the behaviour, symptoms, or illness is likely to lead to self-harm or injury to others.
11. Ensure nursing practice is fully reflected in the use of the Trust electronic record system.
12. Be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-level environment.
