Launch your finance career with our exciting Apprentice Finance Administrator opportunity! This apprenticeship program leads to an AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting.
You'll play a vital role in our Finance team, communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the smooth and timely processing of invoices, payments, and approvals. Your meticulous approach to document management will be key to the accurate handling of financial transactions.
Responsibilities:
* Managing the purchase ledger in our accounting system, this includes entering invoices and ensuring invoices are properly authorised.
* Resolving supplier queries and liaising with people outside of finance to resolve these queries.
* Ensure all invoices are correctly recorded and filed.
* Reconciling supplier accounts ensuring balances match with external systems.
* Set up new suppliers in the accounting system, including checks on their contact and banking details.
* Assist in managing the finance email inboxes.
What you'll need to succeed
We're seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual with strong numeracy skills and strong attention to detail to join our team. While no prior experience is necessary, a willingness to learn and ask questions is essential. If you're a driven communicator with a keen interest in green energy and renewables, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.
Essentials:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Proficiency in working with numbers and calculations, coupled with a genuine interest in finance and business.
* Enthusiastic, driven, and eager to learn.
* Ability to work effectively in a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* 5 x GCSE’s – Grade 4 or above (a higher qualification in Maths would be desirable)
