Senior Product Owner

Are you a visionary, dynamic, data-driven Senior Product Owner ready to develop our portfolio of Global Player features? If so, this role is for you.
Global Player allows listeners to enjoy all of Global’s radio brands, award-winning podcasts, and expertly curated playlists, in one place in app, on web, on TV, in car and on smart speakers.
As a Senior Product Owner at Global, you will work with your own cross-functional squad to deliver new features and functionality to support the business in achieving its ambitious goals, as well as acting as a coach to other members of the team, developing junior talent.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy (40%): Develop a product strategy for your product area, own significant parts of the product roadmap and communicate priorities, establish success metrics and facilitate meetings and workshops with individuals or groups across the business.
2. Delivery (30%): Analyse high-level business requirements in the roadmap, assess implementation options, communicate the vision clearly to the business and own the product backlog and prioritisation while meeting the business needs and aligning with other squads.
3. Day-to-day (30%): Work closely with the development and design teams, ensure all releases are thoroughly tested and delivered to the highest quality, be the voice of the user by sharing customer feedback and educate the team on and drive adoption of industry best practices.

What Success Looks Like
1. Fully understood the goals of the Global Player team and how these support Global’s strategy and objectives.
2. Gained a detailed understanding of the workings of Global’s business across our Radio, Commercial and Digital divisions.
3. Established strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
4. Taken ownership of, and aligned, your team’s OKRs ensuring delivery against them.
5. Established a roadmap for the upcoming quarters.
6. Released features across iOS, Android and web products.
What You’ll Need
* Experience working in a SCRUM/Agile environment.
* Experience with Product & Technology Roadmap development through influence of key business and technology stakeholders to identify business priorities.
* Ability to innovate and think independently.
* Comfortable working at pace and managing competing and changing priorities.
* High level of emotional intelligence; ability to understand different priorities and perspectives.
* Willingness to collaborate and coach; ability to educate and influence.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Product Owner.
