I have been retained by a leading law firm, seeking an IP Legal Director to join their well-established and highly respected team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. The Role:
* Advise clients on a broad range of intellectual property matters, including trademarks, patents, and copyright
* Manage the non-contentious side of the IP practice
* Advise on commercial arrangements and negotiations related to IP matters
* Work closely with colleagues across various legal disciplines to deliver top-tier service
* Contribute to business development initiatives and strengthen client relationships
The Person:
* Qualified solicitor with strong experience in intellectual property law
* Ideally 6-8 years' PQE, though consideration will be given to those with relevant expertise
* Proven track record in handling issues on trademark, copyright and design rights
* Strong client management and business development skills
* Excellent technical ability and commercial awareness, knowledge on patents would be ideal but not essential
