We are looking for a skilled electronics engineer who wants to be part of a growing company with experience in the fire and security industry. Data Centre and Uninterruptible power supply experience would be advantageous but not essential.
Our business has been running for over 24 years. Our core business is the supply, delivery, installation, and maintenance of data centre environmental protection and all the elements of the physical infrastructure that keep IT working, including power, cooling, network cabling, fire prevention, and security.
Our projects range from small server rooms to large data centres, and we also offer a range of data centre solutions, including consultancy and maintenance/support packages, including CCTV, fire alarm works, remote monitoring, and UPS.
The job involves working on customer sites, maintaining, servicing, and repairing faults on fire detection systems, VESDA fire laser air sampling, fire gas extinguishant systems, environmental and remote monitoring systems, CCTV, access control, and uninterruptible power supplies.
Training:
1. Internal product training provided.
2. Health and Safety training provided.
3. Full Riello UPS product training provided (External).
The role involves a significant amount of driving throughout the UK, and the preferred candidate must be motivated and hardworking. Regular weekend work availability is a necessity, and we operate a call-out rota. The ideal candidate will be flexible and located with easy access to Central London and surrounding areas.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
2. Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
3. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
4. Good understanding of British Standards and industry regulations.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong organisational and time management skills.
7. A methodical and detail-oriented approach to work.
8. A commitment to health and safety practices.
9. Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire and security systems.
10. Experience working with a variety of manufacturers and systems.
11. Previous experience in commercial environments.
12. A full UK driving licence.
